Welcome to my blog! My name is Lauren.

I live in Arizona, I love the heat, the mountains, the sunsets and beauty of this place. 

I like house plants and love growing things. I have two cats. I enjoy dry humor and inspiring tv shows. My favorite Avenger is Captain America. I really love discovering new biographies. I listen to old church hymns and classical music. I could talk about personality tests all day. I like talking about books and am always open to recommendations. My favorite foods are pizza, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and popcorn.

I love my job at Anthropologie, I am enjoying living independently and exploring the city I am in. I just bought my first car, I am being challenged, I am growing and doing exactly what I want…. It's so sweet that the Lord meets me most in the times when I think I have all I want. Only He knows the deep desires of my heart, what I truly long for and only He can provide it for me.

I love all that I have, and really don’t want this season to end. But I know God will do far more abundantly than what I ask or imagine. I am surrendering this gift of abundance to follow Him with my whole heart.

I gave my life to Jesus six years ago and have loved pursuing Him since.

The Lord patiently waited on me to say 'yes' to follow Him on the World Race. I feel alive when I think about all He has for me in this next season. It feels like I am waking up from sleeping when I follow Him in surrender.

I am going on the Race because the God of the Universe asked me to. I am excited to step into my purpose, I am excited to see the world. I am excited to grow and learn and love and ache for who is on God's heart. I am looking forward to free falling into the Father's arms as I leave all familiarity.

At times it seems strange to be planning such a trip as this during this virus outbreak. But I am gently reminded that God is in full control, He has full knowledge. Wherever I am in the world, the safest place is exactly where He wants me.
